I’ve posted a few times promoting my Patreon page, which I continue to update. I can’t help it; I’m excited to work on it. I’m not someone who is looking at Patreon as a primary business model; I love teaching music. Patreon is another educational tool to help those pursuing their musical interests.
Watch me upsell my Patreon page right now and make it something you can’t resist. Alright, that’s not going to happen. I’m not that guy. I’m currently building my page. I don’t feel this is an “if you build it, they will come” type of situation. My wheelhouse is teaching piano and theory privately online through Skype and Zoom, whereas adding a Patreon page to my services is entirely new to me.
I don’t know the outcome; I’m just excited to start work on the page. While I hope people will find this additional service helpful, I imagine it’ll work as it has in the past and draw students into my regular online teaching practice, and that’s great too.
