The 2023 academic year is concluding, and I have the summer to experiment with a new exciting project. Music education should be fun, and if you’ve visited my website lately, you’ve probably seen what I’m up to. I’ve taught now for over 25 years, most of which have been providing in-person lessons until I switched during the pandemic to teaching exclusively online.
Here’s the pitch: I’m a full-time professional private music instructor providing private lessons in piano and theory for students of all ages. All students receive online lessons in their homes through Skype or Zoom, freeing up valuable time in both the parents’ and students’ schedules.
But here’s what’s new. I’m starting a Patreon page. While students who enroll in music lessons through my private teaching studio Bach To Basics, receive weekly music lessons, I wanted to develop this page for those who wish to explore learning the piano, music theory, and other music topics independently with the ability to get some guidance when they want or need it.
I aim to design my Patreon page around the self-paced student to create a fun place to post video lessons, learning materials, sheet music, textbooks, etc. A place where I can teach and share the things that interest me with others interested in the same topics.
I’ll never stop teaching online through Skype or Zoom, and I love the one-to-one interaction with students. One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching online is that it allows me to teach and share my passion for music with people in remote areas and other countries and help them on their music journey.
